Hello All!!
I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read a little about me.
My name is Amina Lowery and I am a graduate of the University of Florida, and a current graduate student at the University of Central Florida.
During
my four years at the University of Florida I was involved in the Inter -
Residential Hall Association, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity,
Florida Competitive Cheerleading, University Minority Mentoring Program,
Gator Launch, and the Extreme Dance Company. I was a resident assistant
in Broward Hall for two years. As well as the College Outreach Chair
for Eta Sigma Gamma, a health education honorary in my degree field.
Which with my position I helped to have people tested for
HIV/AIDS in hopes to lower the statistics of college students who do not
know their status. I’m also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and I'm proud to represent them at state. When I wasn't busy with work or school, I was attending Florida Football games, I'm super proud to say I rushed University Blvd all FOUR times the Gators won a National Championship.
I’m currently studying Health Administration and want to work within policy reform and the insurance industry. This has been a goal I’ve had my heart set on every since I sat through my first class in health professions. My time in graduate school has been tough but rewarding as well. I've learned a lot about myself and will hopefully continue to do so throughout my remaining time there.
I've grown so much as a person since I started competing in pageant in 2010 that I hope to continue to do so. I also plan to take everything thrown at me with style and grace, and I hope to continue change a form a woman that I would be envious of.
Once again I want to thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and I hope you have a great day. And GO GATORS!!!
Sincerely Yours,
Amina Lowery
